Annika Henderson a.k.a. Anika

Annika Henderson is a political journalist, poet, singer, musician and radio host, born in Woking, England, in 1987. One must note she has however already claimed to have been born in Gilead. As a musician and singer, she performs under the moniker Anika. She came to prominence in 2010, when she released her self-titled début EP "Anika" (Stones Throw, 2010), produced by Geoff Barrow of Portishead and backed by his band BEAK>, with two videos directed by John Minton. The EP carried two original compositions, "No one´s there" and "Officer Officer", alongside covers of Yoko Ono, The Kinks, Skeeter Davis, Lynn Ripley and Bob Dylan. This year, she has released a second EP, also titled Anika (Stones Throw, 2013). The texts above were previously unpublished. "Scratcha" and the photograph were composed by Annika Henderson in London.
