Néle Azevedo

Néle Azevedo is a Brazilian visual artist who works with video, installation and urban interventions. Master of visual arts from the Arts Institute of São Paulo State University, she has been working in and with open urban spaces since 2001 through her project "Minimum Monument" which we show here, questioning the ideas that lead governments to build public monuments and our relationship with them, performing her interventions in cities such as Brasília, Salvador and São Paulo (Brazil),  Havana (Cuba), Tokyo and Kyoto (Japan), Paris (France), Braunschweig and Berlin (Germany), Porto (Portugal), Firenze (Italy) and Stavanger (Norway). Néle Azevedo lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil.
